World of Warcraft is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game,Playing World Of Warcraft: What Are WoW Zone Levels? Articles or MMORPG, that has collected over 10 million subscribers and holds the record for the most popular game of its genre in the Guinness books. It was first released back in 2004, as the featured product of the Warcraft franchise. And since then has collected a following far beyond what it predecessors have achieved. The storyline of WoW involves magical creatures and gallant warriors who live in the world of Azeroth. The players are allowed to take over certain characters, make it their own, and use it complete missions so that they can collect money, points, experience or learn a new skill. These quests can vary from vanquishing certain villains to finding particular items and multiple WoW zone levels may be involved. But they are all chained together, leading the player or players to the ultimate goal.
To start playing, a person must select a server first. One of the popular options is the PvE wherein the player goes against the game itself following the basic premise of defeating monsters and completing missions. If one wants to fight another player, then he must ask permission first. In PvP, players are allowed to attack other players and take whatever they want from them, without any warning. So aside from having to watch out for antagonists, those in the game have to be wary of other teams. RP is another type of PvE, but with more roleplaying freedom. RP-PvP is an expanded version of PvP, wherein the players are in-character and cross-faction combat is observed.
Now, it is important to take note that there are two factions in World of Warcraft, the Alliance and the Horde. And under each faction, there are different races. Under the former are humans and dwarves while on the latter, there are orcs and trolls. After that’s settled, a class – mages, warriors, priests – must then be chosen for the character. After which, the player can start off with the adventure.
When traveling, you may find some zones that are inaccessible to you as a player. Don’t worry though because as you progress, some of them will be revealed to you. For example, when you reach a skill level of 10 to 20, you will be able to go through the Silverpine Forest. But while starting out, the only places you could wander around in are Gilneas City and Gezan (1-5). Don’t be alarmed if one of the aforementioned are not available to you because there are also those that are exclusive to the race.
Zones are basically areas that have specific sceneries and themes and are lorded over by particular mobs. They are like states or countries in a way, and in every single one, there are subzones to consider. They are not the biggest communities though because above zones are continents. And in World of Warcraft, there are four in existence – Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimador, Pandaria and Northrend.
As a final note, it is essential to highlight that WoW zone levels are also differentiated according to ownership. There are those that are under Alliance and others that are controlled by the Horde. Of course, there are also Contested Lands and those meant for Combat use. Players have to be mindful about their location to know whether to relax or to be in defensive in their stance.
